Farmers Inn is not a chain, not a franchise, but a good old-fashioned “Family Restaurant” with delicious, homemade food, from old family recipes.

It all started in 1970 with Vincent Vigil running the kitchen and me, Cecil Vigil, the business side of the restaurant. We were determined to serve high quality, homemade, Mexican food at the best prices possible.

Our style of Mexican food would be described as a New Mexico style. Our most famous dish is our famous Green Chili, which is from an old family recipe. It is those old recipes that make our food so special. We also make a very good Margarita. Our customer favorites are the burritos, empanadas, and the Mexican hamburger, i.e. a hamburger patty on a flour tortilla with beans and cheese, smothered in green chili and topped with cheese, lettuce, and tomato.

I have always said this is a family style restaurant, because we have the capacity to take on big groups and get them seated quickly. It is all this care and quality that brings many families. In fact, I have watched these families grow as they continue to come after the children have grown and become parents themselves. This makes for a lasting business and a very friendly atmosphere.

We have been coming here for years! My hubby used to come here since 1976 when he was at Denver University. Delicious green Chile and great smothered and topped combo burritos! We are full and hubby is taking 3 quarts of green Chile back to the hotel!!
